Rollover Crash at Route 83 and I-290; Four Reported Dead
Illinois State Police are confirming four dead and four injured after a rollover accident occurred around 6 a.m. Thursday on westbound Interstate 290 just west of Route 83 in Elmhurst.

Illinois State Police are confirming four dead and four injured,according to the Chicago Tribune. Seven people were ejected and one person was trapped under the SUV when it rolled down an embankment at Interstate 290 near Route 83.

News sources are reporting multiple fatalities. CBS is reporting"at least three killed" and Fox News is reporting four people were killed and three transported to the hospital. Elmhurst Patch received an early unconfirmed report of six people killed.
Westbound traffic continued to be being diverted onto Route 83 at 8 a.m. Emergency vehicles reporting to the scene included units from Elmhurst, Lombard, Itasca, Bloomingdale and Wood Dale, according to reports.
