Shots Fired At Major Skokie Intersection At Rush Hour Tuesday

Police say someone fired multiple rounds at a vehicle.


Skokie Police responded to the intersection of Skokie Boulevard and Niles Center Road, Skokie, at about 5:42 p.m. Tuesday for a report of shots fired.   

Initial investigation revealed that an unknown suspect fired multiple rounds at a passing vehicle, police said in a statement. 

There are no reports of a victim or injuries, at least at this time.

Police are investigating.  Anyone with information or knowledge this incident is asked to contact the Skokie Police Department’s Investigation Division at (847) 982-5958.
