Monday Blotter: Prescription Pill Forgery

The following arrest information was supplied by the Skokie Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction. At Skokie Patch, we update our blotter daily.

Disorderly conduct

Lowell Steve Hubbard, 26, of the 4800 block of Greenleaf Avenue, was charged with disorderly conduct on Feb 22 around 1:30 a.m. According to the report, Hubbard was yelling and screaming at other residents inside his apartment complex. He was also allegedly waving a bloody right arm toward other residents, the report said. When police asked Hubbard to leave, he complied, but only returned to the apartment complex a few minutes later where he was arrested and charged.

Prescription forgery

Police responded to a forgery complaint at Jewel, 9449 Skokie Blvd., on Feb. 23. According to the report, a woman allegedly tried obtaining 90 pills of Vicodin – a narcotic painkiller – with a forged prescription. By the time police arrived, however, the suspect was gone. No prescriptions were dispensed during the incident, the report noted.

$120 Worth of Bikes Stolen
Two bikes with a combined value of $120 were reported stolen from an underground parking garage in the 4900 block of Foster Avenue on Feb. 16.

Birthday Party Gone Bad
A party took a wrong turn when the birthday girl reported a battery incident that occurred in the 10114 block of Old Orchard Court between 4:20 a.m. on Feb. 4. According to the report, five people had been celebrating in an apartment when one of the attendees allegedly got out of hand and was asked to leave. The friend denied the girl’s request and threw several glass bottles as a result.

Police were called and officers escorted the guest outside. Police were called back a second time, however, as another guest had gotten out of hand, the report said. No charges were filed.
