Skokie Crime: Hair Styling Tools Taken, Car Hit With Concrete

The following arrest information was supplied by the Skokie Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Residential Burglary

Someone used a shovel to break the bedroom window of a home on the 4500 block of Lyons Street, between July 13 at 7:45 a.m. and July 15 at 9:30 a.m. Silver flatware, jewelry, and currency were taken.

Two male subjects entered the a hair salon in the 7500 block of Lincoln Avenue, between 2:50 a.m. and 8 a.m. July 15 through the rear door, turned off the security camera and removed styling tools and $100 in currency. 

Criminal Damage to Property

Someone struck a parked vehicle with their driver’s side door during an altercation on the 7000 block of Carpenter Road, on July 14 at 12:30 a.m.

Someone scratched the driver’s side door on the silver, 2002 Toyota Camry on the 8000 block of Niles Avenue, between July 12 at 4 a.m. and July 15 at 5:50 a.m.

Someone used a large piece of concrete to damage the window on the 1993 Toyota Corolla on the 7800 block of Keeler Avenue, between July 13 at 12 a.m. and July 15 at 9:30 a.m.

Burglary from a Motor Vehicle

Someone removed $20 from an unlocked 1994 Toyota Camry on the 8500 block of Monticello Avenue, between July 14 at 3 p.m. and July 15 at 3 p.m. 

Possession of Cannabis

During a curfew violation stop at 2:15 a.m. on the 4700 block of Dempster Street on July 15, the offender was found to be in possession of cannabis.
