Skokie Crime: Stolen Cars, Illegible Graffiti

Stolen Auto

Someone stole a 1989 Honda Civic while it was parked on the street on the 4800 block of Mulford Avenue on July 25 between 12:30 and 7:04 a.m..

Someone stole a 2004 Honda Pilot from a parking lot on the 9200 block of East Prairie Road, between July 25 at 11:00 p.m. and July 26 at 9:24 a.m.

Burglary from Motor Vehicle

Someone gained access to her 2004 Chrysler Sebring and removed various items while the vehicle was parked on the street on the 9200 block of Kolmar

Someone entered a 2010 Ford Focus and removed various items on the 5100 block of Church Street between July 25 at 8:45 p.m. and July 26 at 6:30 a.m. 

Someone entered a 2012 Toyota and rummaged through the vehicle on the 8500 block of Springfield Avenue between July 23 at 1 p.m. and July 25 at 10 a.m. Several items were recovered from the ground.  

Criminal Defacement of Property

Someone used an unknown marking device to write illegible white markings on the entrance door and rear garage door to a building at 4913 Main St. on July 25 at 8:45 a.m.

Someone used blue spray paint to write illegible markings on the bike path pavement on the 4900 block of Main Street on July 25 at 9:30 a.m.

Someone used a black marking devise to write illegible markings on three street light poles on the 7700 block of McCormick Boulevard on July 25 at 10 a.m.

Someone used orange spray paint to write on the garage door on the 8700 block of Harding Avenue, on July 26 at 11:31 a.m.

Someone used black spray paint to make illegible markings on the concrete picnic area of the park on the 8300 block of Central Park Avenue, on July 27th at 9:20 a.m.

Theft of Lost Property

A man told police he forgot his iPhone5 on a table at 3337 Golf Road on July 24 between 5:15 p.m. and 6 a.m. and when he returned it was gone.

Theft

Someone stole an unlocked bicycle while the owner was inside a restaurant at 4830 Dempster St. on July 25 between 2 and 2:25 p.m.

Someone stole two credit cards from inside an unsecured locker at 4401 Dempster St. on July 25 between 2 and 7 p.m. 

Someone stole a camera while it was on the counter inside the woman's restroom at 4999 Old Orchard Road on July 27 at 2:48 p.m.

Retail Theft

A man grabbed three packs of cigarettes from the counter and ran out of the store without paying at 5343 Touhy Avenue on July 25 at 2:25 p.m. 

Two male subjects entered a store and stole cigarettes and bottled drinks at 3441 Church St. on July 26 at 12 a.m.

Possession of Cannabis, Attempt to Elude an Officer

Joshua Pondexter II, 21, of Chicago, was arrested on charges of possession of cannabis, attempt to elude peace officer and disobeying a police officer at 10102 Old Orchard Court on July 26.

Driving Without a License 

Pedro Cervantes-Miranda, 40, of Chicago, was arrested on charges of driving without a license on the 8300 block of Niles Center Road on July 27.
