Skokie Man Arrested for Unlawful Use of Weapons by Felon

Evanston police arrested two men for unlawful use of firearms on July 16.

Evanston police arrested two men in the 1800 block of Brown Avenue July 16 for unlawful use of weapons by felon, after recovering two loaded 9mm handguns from a Skokie resident and a Chicago resident, police said.

Blair A. Aikens, 27, of the 9300 block of Karlov Ave., Skokie, who is wanted on a narcotics warrant from the State of Pennsylvania for delivery of cocaine, was charged with two counts of unlawful use of weapons by felon, a Class 2 Felony, police said.

Antoine B. Hill, 28, of the 7400 block of N. Ridge Ave., Chicago, who is currently on parole for murder, was charged with two counts of unlawful use of weapons by felon, a Class 2 Felony; resisting a peace officer and issued a parole violation warrant, authorities say.

Evanston police saw Aikens, who is wanted on an out of state narcotics warrant, and attempted to conduct an investigatory stop in the 1800 block of Brown Avenue, but both men ran, according to a press release.

Police say they chased the men and recovered two loaded guns on Aikens and Hill. Both men are schedule to appear in Skokie court on July 31.
