Teen, 16, Charged With Pointing Gun At Robbery Victim

It happened during a drug transaction. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.



Skokie police have charged a Chicago 16-year-old with aggravated robbery after a drug transaction. saying he pointed a gun at the drug seller in an attempt to take back the money, according to a police statement.

The offender was referred to Juvenile Court because of his age. 

Skokie police said the incident took place on Tuesday, August 6, when Skokie Police Officers responded to the intersection of Searle Parkway and Skokie Blvd., near the Oakton Swift Train Station.  

The police statement said that after completing a drug transaction with the victim, the juvenile offender then attempted to rob the victim of his money, producing a handgun and pointing the weapon at the victim.

No one was injured in the incident.

The Skokie Police Department and the Chicago Police Department worked together on the case.
