Thief Broke Into Home At Night, Stole Jewelry

The thief entered through an unlocked kitchen window. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.


Burglary from Motor Vehicle

  • Burglary from Motor Vehicle on the 5200 block of Oakton Street, between September 14th at 11:00 p.m. and September 15th at 4:30 p.m.  Reported:  09/15/2013. An unknown person(s) entered an unlocked Honda and stole a laptop and other electronic equipment from the vehicle.
  • Burglary from Motor Vehicle on the 9200 block of Keeler Avenue, on September 15th at 11:30 p.m.   Reported:  09/15/2013. Three male black subjects between the ages of 14 and 20 were observed pulling on door handles in the area.  It was discovered that an unlocked vehicle parked on a driveway had been gone through.  The area was searched but the suspects were not located.

Residential Burglary

  • Residential Burglary on the 3900 block of Louise Avenue, between September 14th at 7:30 p.m. and September 15th at 1:00 a.m. Reported:  09/15/2013. An unknown person(s) entered the residence through an unlocked kitchen window and stole women’s jewelry. 

Theft

  • Theft on the 9500 block of Ridgeway Avenue, on September 15th between 4:30 p.m. and 6:05 p.m.  Reported:  09/15/2013. An unknown person(s) stole a hammock and its base from the front yard of the residence.

Arrests

  • Mian, Nadia, 29, of New Britain, CT., was charged with driving on a Suspended/Revoked Driver’s license on the 8800 block of Skokie Boulevard, on 09/15/2013.
  • Carreto-Aviles, Ventura, 47,  North California Avenue, Chicago, was arrested for driving with no valid driver’s license on the 3200 block of Oakton on 09/15/2013.
