Thursday Blotter: $2,000 Wheelchair Stolen

Copper stolen from school

Police responded to a theft at Highland School, 9700 Crawford Ave., regarding a stolen copper downspout. All in all, about 90 feet of copper was taken from the property, the report said.

Theft from auto

A car parked in the 5200 block of Sherwin Avenue was reported burglarized on Dec. 29. According to the report, a $400 purse and digital camera were taken from the vehicle. The victim told police that she might have left her doors unlocked.

Wheelchair theft

Police responded to a burglary in the 8000 block of Keating Avenue on Dec. 30. According to the report, a $2,000 electric wheelchair was removed from the property.

Loose change stolen

Police responded to a car burglary in the 8500 block of Monticello on Dec. 30. According to the report, about $4 in loose change was taken from the center console.
