Marijuana arrest
John Sargon Bazi, 21, of the 2400 block of Saranac Drive in Glenview, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana on Aug. 15. Police stopped Bazi for not wearing a seat belt. When police approached his vehicle, they noticed a glass pipe and several grams of marijuana inside the vehicle. Bazi’s court date is Sept. 30.
Burglary

A home in the 5000 block of Dobson Avenue was reported burglarized on Aug. 16. According to the report, an XBox 360 and a video game were removed from the home. No other items were taken. Police suspect entry was gained through an attached garage door.

Police responded to a retail theft at Express ship in Old Orchard Mall on Aug. 17. According to the report, five black males grabbed about $1,500 in merchandise and ran out of the store. An employee who witnessed the theft said the culprits were 18-20 years of age.
Retail theft from clothing store
Police responded to a retail theft at Plato’s Closet, 9448 Skokie Blvd., on Aug. 18. According to the report, Arbela Marta Baza, 23, of the 8900 block of Lamon Avenue, was charged with theft after she tried to conceal a pair of BCBG pants in her purse. The theft was thwarted when the security sensor at the entrance were activated when Baza attempted to leave.
