Loose change stolen
About $4 in loose change was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 40 block of Salem Circle on Aug. 31.
Public Storage theft

A unit in Skokie Public Storage, 8220 Skokie Blvd., was reported burglarized on May 30. According to the report, a printer, stereo and pushcart were missing.
Cashed out

A man reported that an unknown person cashed 11 checks under his name without his permission on Sept. 4. The combined total of all checks was $16,412, the report said.
DUI
Jeffery Gavin, 53, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Sept. 1. Gavin was stopped in the 8600 block of McCormick Boulevard for a traffic violation. He allegedly had a blood alcohol content level of .106, the report stated. His court date is Oct. 19.
Grand theft auto
A car parked in the 5100 block of Jarvis Avenue was reported burglarized on Sept. 3.
Theft at Gap
A long sleeve shirt and jeans were reported stolen from Gap in Old Orchard mall on Sept. 2.
