Thursday Blotter: Combative Driver at Gas Station

At Skokie Patch, we update our blotter daily.

Customer rage

Police responded to a battery compliant at a gasoline station in the 9400 block of McCormick Boulevard on July 11 around 2:20 p.m. According to the report, a motorist tried to pay the clerk for gas but another customer was interfering.

The annoying customer was blocking access to the clerk and said that he wasn’t going to allow anyone to pay for gas. When the motorist ignored him and placed money in a tray, the man in front of the cashier became angry. He struck the paying customer across the face, breaking his glasses, and then fled the area in a dark sedan.
