Drug driving

Vladimir B. Kostov, 28, of the 800 block of Margret Avenue in Des Plaines, was charged with driving on a suspended license, among other charges, on Oct. 22.

According to the report, Kostov was stopped in the 4000 block of Oakton Street for a traffic violation. Police soon learned that his license was suspended and conducted a search in his vehicle. Officers found about a half a gram of cocaine and half a gram of marijuana inside his vehicle, the report said.

Kostov admitted to police that the narcotics were his and that he had consumed both earlier in the day. His court date is Nov. 1.

A Nissan sedan parked at Village Crossing was reported stolen on Oct. 22. The vehicle was valued at about $3,000.

Theft from motor vehicle

A car parked in Village Crossing was reported burglarized on Oct. 22. According to the report, an Apple MacBook, jeans and several dollars in loose change were stolen from the vehicle. Police observed no signs of forced entry.
