Thursday Blotter: DUI, Macy's Theft

Driving with Mary Jane

An 18-year-old Skokie man was charged with possession of marijuana on Oct. 19. The man was stopped after making a traffic violation near Kolmar Avenue and Church Street. Police would later find about half-a-gram of pot in the man’s possession. His court date is Nov. 12.

DUI

Rashad Allan Strong, 25, of Skokie, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Oct. 14. Strong was stopped near the intersection of Main Street and McCormick Boulevard around 6 a.m. He had a blood alcohol content level of .127, the report stated.

Theft at Macy’s

Mgo Guiragossian, 48, of Chicago, was charged with felony retail theft on Oct. 21. Guiragossian attempted to steal two high-end purses with a combined value of about $600 from Macy’ in Old Orchard Mall, the report stated.

DUI

Jovanny Jesus Perez-Soto, 20, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Oct. 21. Police found Soto’s vehicle stopped in the middle of the intersection near the 5200 block of Fargo Avenue. He had a blood alcohol content level of .144, the report stated.
