A man reported having a pistol stolen from his vehicle that was parked in the 7300 block of Linder Avenue on June 26. According to the report, the victim was working when his supervisor informed him that his auto door was ajar. On first inspection, he didn't notice anything missing. However, when he returned home later that day, he discovered his handgun gone but no other items were missing.

It is not illegal to travel with a firearm in Illinois. According to state law, the weapon and bullet clip must be kept apart and stored away from each other when in transit.
