Thursday Blotter: Hateful Message

Police responded to a criminal damage complaint in the 8300 block of Christiana Avenue on Aug. 10. According to the report, a home window was reported damaged.

A business owner in the 3700 block of Dempster Street received anti-Semitic messages from a hostile customer on Aug. 14. No arrests were made.

DUI

Rhommerick Jayson Buiser, 25, of Skokie, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Aug. 22. Buiser was stopped in the 4800 block of Oakton Street around 2 a.m for a traffic violation. Buiser allegedly had a blood alcohol of .209.

High-end rims stolen

A car parked in the 5200 block of Golf Road was reported burglarized on Aug. 21. According to the report, a set of rims valued at about $5,900 were stolen.

Home theft

Police responded to a theft in the 8500 block of Central Park on Aug. 20. According to the report, a laptop, headphones, hard drive and digital camera were reported stolen from the home. The woman told police she let a teen in her house that was known to her and then about seven teens she didn’t know entered the home, the report said. No arrests were made.
