Thursday Blotter: "It Was My Evil Twin!"

Driving w/ Mary Jane

John Franklin Donado, 30, of the 1000 block of Darrow Avenue in Evanston, was charged with possession of cannabis on April 24. According to the report, Donado was stopped near the 8500 block of the Edens Expressway for a traffic violation. Police would soon uncover that Donado had a revoked license and that he allegedly had a gram of marijuana in his possession. His court date is June 12.

A woman called Skokie police to report a suspicious incident on April 25. According to the report, a man allegedly took several pictures of her home on two separate occasions. No charges have been filed.

Police responded to a deceptive practice in the 5200 block of Galitz Street on April 23. According to the report, a woman accused her coworker of stealing $580 from her bank account. However, the alleged 18-year-old suspect told police he didn’t take the money, but that it was his identical twin brother.

Confused, the woman decided not to press charges as she was unsure who took the money from her bank account. No charges were filed.

Woman steals lottery tickets

A 7-Eleven owner called police to report a theft on April 25. According to the report, a woman entered the store at 5363 Lincoln Ave. and asked for $9 worth of lottery tickets. She then allegedly fled the store without paying for the tickets, the report said. The owner told police he is unable to void the transaction because the tickets were already printed, the report said.
