Thursday Blotter: Man Robbed Outside Hotel

iPhone 5 stolen
A woman reported her Apple iPhone 5 stolen after shopping at Hollister in Old Orchard Mall on Jan. 5.
Man robbed outside hotel

A man was robbed of a $120 outside a hotel in the 9300 block of Skokie Boulevard on Jan. 4. According to the report, the victim parked his car outside of the hotel and was approached by a female that became “friendly” to him, the report stated.
He was then approached by a man who said, “Why are you talking to my girlfriend? Give me your money,” according to the report. The suspect then punched the man in the shoulder and took a $120 in cash before fleeing.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6-foot-2, about 240-pounds, with short hair and a black leather coat. After some investigating, officers would learn the name of a man who might be the offender, the report said.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Stolen package
A USPS package was reported stolen outside a home in the 5200 block of Greenwood Avenue on Jan. 21. The item was estimated to be valued at around $200.
Theft at Ulta
About $180 of woman’s perfume was reported stolen from Ulta, 5481 Touhy Ave., on Jan. 4. According to the report, the suspect selected three bottles of perfume and fled the store. No arrests were made.
Egging
A car parked in the 1000 block of Frontage Road was egged on Jan. 2.
