Thursday Blotter: Prostitution in Skokie

Prostitution in Skokie
Police were dispatched to Comfort Inn, 9333 Skokie Blvd., regarding a customer issue on Oct. 7. According to the report, hotel staff noticed a variety of men coming in and out of a room checked out by two females. The customers were told to leave and they did. No arrests were made.
The report also added that the hotel employees checked the phone number given by the two females and found it on a local prostitution website, the report said.

Stolen Deer
Police responded to a theft in the 4000 block of Jarvis Avenue on Oct. 12. According to the report, three bronze deer and three bronze ducks were removed from a yard.

Theft from auto
Two pairs of earnings and sunglasses were reported stolen from a car parked in the 8800 block of Lincolnwood Avenue on Oct. 12.
Power tools stolen
Several power tools with a combined value of about $430 were reported stolen from a garage in the 5100 block of Fairview on Sept. 28. There was also about $50 in cash stolen from a metal tray.
Ring stolen
A $2,500 diamond ring was reported stolen from a home in the 3600 block of Main Street on Aug. 24.
