Rolex snatched
A woman came into the Skokie police station to report a theft on Aug. 8. According to the report, the woman told police that her $9,000 Rolex watch and $1,000 diamond ring were stolen. She suspected the theft might have occurred recently when she had her house painted and carpet cleaned.
DUI

Manuel C. Noria, 25, of the 900 block of Chestnut Road in Waukegan, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Aug. 9. According to the report, Noria was stopped for speeding in the 9100 block of McCormick Boulevard around 12 a.m. He failed a Breathalyzer test and was given a court date of Aug. 24.
Residential burglary

Several precious coins, jewelry and cash were stolen from a home in the 5100 block of Conrad Avenue on Aug. 10. According to the report, entry was gained through an unlocked rear window on the north side of the home. The combined value of the missing items was about $1,000.
Egging
Police were dispatched to the 5000 block of Golf Road regarding an egging of a home on Aug. 10. According to the report, a home was struck with several eggs. The victim is unsure who could have been responsible.
