Thursday Blotter: Rumble Outside Business

Stolen registration sticker

A registration sticker valued at $90 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 4100 block of Oakton Street on Nov. 3.

Driver’s side mirror stolen

The plastic housing of a driver’s side mirror was reported stolen from a parked car in the 8600 block of Crawford Avenue on Nov. 30.

Cashier steals from high school

Joann Lohans, 50, of Chicago, was charged with one count of misdemeanor theft after Niles West High School security saw her take $20 from a cash register, according to police. Lohans works as a cashier in the cafeteria, the report stated. The employee does not work for the school but for a third party the school district hired.

Niles West teen busted with pot

A 15-year-old teen was charged with possession of marijuana after a high school dean found the drug near the student’s possession, police said. The student had less than a gram of marijuana, according to the report.

Rumble outside business

Cristian C. Pazmino, 19, of Skokie, was charged with resisting a peace officer and consumption of alcohol by a minor on Dec. 21. Pazmino was arrested outside Kush Hooka Lounge, 3327 Demspter St., after police saw him fighting another individual outside the business. About 40 spectators were outside and watched.

As officers tried to break up the fight, Pazmino was resistant and had an individual in a headlock, the report stated. Officers had to use force to get Pazmino to release the individual’s head from his grasp, the report stated.

Pazmino was later transported to Skokie Hospital to treat minor injuries. The suspect told police he drank tequila prior to the fight and was kicked out by Kush Hooka staff, the report said.

During his ride to the ER, he asked police, “Did I win the fight?” the report stated. His court date is Feb. 1.
