Thursday Blotter: Stolen Auto?

Vehicle vandalism

A car parked in the 4800 block of Lee Street was reported vandalized on May 11. According to the report, all four tires of the vehicle were slashed.

A car parked in the 9600 block of Gross Point Road was reported burglarized on May 11. However, the following day, police discovered the vehicle one block away from the alleged incident. They also witnessed no signs of forced entry inside the vehicle, the report said.

Police responded to a theft at Bloomingdales in Old Orchard Mall on May 11. According to the report, an unknown person selected four pairs of True Religion jeans and fled the store. The combined value of said items is around $800, the report said.

Grand theft auto

A car parked at the Skokie Swift parking lot was reported stolen on May 16. The vehicle was valued at around $8,000, the report said.
