Thursday Blotter: Synagogue Reports Theft

Theft from auto

A car parked in the 4800 block of Crain Avenue was reported burglarized on Feb. 12. According to the report, a Bluetooth device and cell phone charger were missing from the vehicle. The victim told police that he might have left his vehicle unlocked, the report said.

A car parked in the 7600 block of Kenton Avenue was reported burglarized on Feb. 12. According to the report, several papers were removed from the glove box.

Thieves hit synagogue

Devar Emet Synagogue, 7800 Niles Ave., told police that four downspouts, valued at around $200, were stolen from the exterior building. There’s been a recent increase in metal related thefts in Skokie.

Stolen auto

A car parked in the 4900 block of Carol Street was reported stolen on Feb. 10. According to the report, the woman was warming up her car while she waited inside her home. When she returned to her vehicle, she noticed it was missing, the report said.
