Synagogue vandalized

Police responded to a criminal damage compliant at Congregation Or Torah, 3800 Dempster St., on June 19 around 7 a.m. According to the report, a BB gun was used to shatter a glass door on the west side of the building.

Park light posts damaged

Damage was reported on June 21 around 9 a.m. to three light posts along the boardwalk at Devonshire Park. According to the report, the Park District estimated the damage to be $500. 

Stolen auto

A car parked in the 4900 block of Oakton Street was stolen on June 21. According to the report, no shattered glass or tire marks were visible at the scene.

GPS device stolen

A man visited the Skokie police station to report a motor vehicle burglary on June 14. According to the report, a GPS unit was removed from his unlocked car parked in a garage.

Unlocked car ransacked

A car parked in the 8100 block of Kilbourne Avenue was ransacked after its owner left the doors unlocked on June 21. According to the police, no items were reported missing.

Car burglarized

A car in the 8200 block of Kilpatrick Avenue was burglarized on June 21.  No items were reported missing after entry was gained to the vehicle, according to the police.
