Thursday Blotter: Teen Mob Robs Gas Station

At least 15 teens rob gas station

Police responded to a retail theft compliant that was later classified as a battery compliant at a Shell service station in the 8400 block of McCormick Boulevard on July 23.

According to the report, 15-20 teens rushed inside the business and grabbed merchandise before they fled the store. One of the suspects pushed the clerk and took his $600 cell phone.

Cell phone stolen

Police responded to a theft at the Victoria Secret store in Old Orchard Mall on July 24. According to the report, an Asian male took a woman’s cell phone from her purse after it was left unattended inside the lingerie store. He then fled.

Stolen bike

Police responded to a theft at 5100 Carol St. on July 25. According to the report, a man left his bicycle unattended and unsecured while he visited his girlfriend. The bike was valued at $300.

A bicycle was stolen while it was left unsecured at Devonshire Park on July 22. The bike was valued at $420.
