Missing wallet
A woman reported her wallet stolen after dining at Corner Bakery in Village Crossing on Nov. 14. According to the report, about $800 of purchases were made shortly after the victim realized her card was stolen.
Landlord dispute
Police responded to a battery complaint in the 8800 block of Bronx Avenue on Oct. 3. According to the report, the landlord slapped a woman on the side of the face for moving her shoes. No arrests were made, however.
Cabbie bilked
A cab driver was bilked out of a $32 fare after dropping off five teens near the 4900 block of Conrad Avenue on Oct. 13.
Graffiti
Police responded to a criminal damage complaint in the 8600 block of Niles Center on Oct. 17. According to the report, several vulgar words were written with spray paint.
DUI
Juan Carlos Cortes, 46, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Nov. 14. Cortes was stopped near the intersection of Church Street and Skokie Boulevard. He had a blood alcohol content level of .191, the report stated.
