Tuesday Blotter: Bricked 'Explosion'

Theft from auto

Police were dispatched to the 9400 block of Central Park regarding a theft from auto on Oct. 8. According to the report, no items were taken, but the interior was rummaged through.

Possession of marijuana

Jason F. Ransom, 37, of Evanston, was charged with possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license and no proof of insurance on Oct. 12. Ransom was stopped near the intersection of McCormick Boulevard and Dempster Street for a traffic violation. His court date is Nov. 1.

Stolen iPhone

A woman reported her iPhone stolen after taking a bathroom break at her workplace in the 7700 block of Frontage Road on Oct. 10. The phone was valued at around $299.

Cabbie bilked

A cab driver was bilked out of a $32 fare after dropping off five teens near Gross Point Road and Dempster Street on Oct. 13.

DUI

Samuel Sagan, 18, of Skokie, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Oct. 13 around 7:15 a.m. Sagan was found sleeping behind the wheel near the 3500 block of Drake Avenue – or just a few blocks from his home. His blood alcohol content was .132, the report stated.

Stolen purse

A woman reported her purse stolen after shopping at Victor Secret’s in Old Orchard Mall on Oct. 14. About $30 in cash was inside the purse, the report stated.

Damage at Paintball Explosion

The owner of Paintball Explosion, 4866 Dempster St., told police that an unknown person(s) threw a brick at his window on Oct. 14.
