Tuesday Blotter: DUI Charge Follows Hit-and-Run Accident

New car stolen
A car parked in the 8000 block of Kildare Avenue was reported stolen on Sept. 21. According to the report, the vehicle was a 2010 Dodge sedan, whose owner said the loan was fully paid. Police were able to find tire tracks at the scene, leading them to suspect that the car was towed off.

Police responded to a criminal damage compliant in the 8300 block of Lawndale Avenue on Sept. 21. According to the report, the word “SAIN” was spray painted on a homeowner’s fence.
DUI charge after accident

Police responded to an accident near the Jewel supermarket in the 9400 block of Skokie Boulevard on Sept. 19. According to the report, a woman driving a BMW hit another vehicle occupied by two males and then sped off. Police were able to catch up with the alleged suspect, Sally K. Lundquist, 54, of the 9300 block of Skokie Boulevard, and charge her with driving under the influence. A test found her blood alcohol content level was .271. No parties were reported injured.
Gas station graffiti
Police were dispatched to BP gasoline station in the 3300 block of Dempster Street regarding a criminal damage complaint. According to the report, a black marker was used to write, “KILL” in the men’s bathroom.
Garage graffiti
Police responded to a criminal damage compliant in the 5100 block of Main Street on Sept. 20. According to the report, a silver marker was used to write “RATT WUZ HERE” on a garage door.
Burglar suspect gets away
Police responded to a residential burglary in the 9200 block of Suffield Terrace on Sept. 20. According to the report, the homeowner had just returned when he saw a young man run out the back patio door and flee the scene. Nothing inside the home was reported missing.
