Tuesday Blotter: Ecstasy Bust

Ecstasy bust
James Tassev, 20, of Skokie, received felony charges after being caught with Ecstasy on Aug. 24. According to the report, police charged Tassev after stopping him – along with several others – for speeding near the 3600 block of Howard Street. During police pursuit, officers noticed a clear plastic bag being thrown out the window, the report stated.
When police recovered the bag, they found several pills that tested positive for Ecstasy, the report said. After questioning all individuals, it was determined the bag belonged to Tassey, the report stated.

Stolen auto
A car parked in the 9500 block of Dempster Street was reported stolen on Nov. 4. The vehicle was valued at around $6,500, the report stated.

Burglary
Police responded to a burglary in the 8900 block of Lincolnwood Avenue on Nov. 4. According to the report, two MacBook Pro computers were stolen from the basement of the home.
GPS, change stolen
About $10 in loose change and a GPS device were taken from a vehicle parked on Williamsburg Street on Nov. 4.

Pot found at Niles West
Police found a small amount of marijuana and a metal smoking pipe at Niles West High School on Oct. 5.
