Business robbery

A man reported his laptop and two phones stolen from his business in the 8000 block of Lincoln Avenue on Dec. 31. The combined value of said items is almost $1,000, according to the report.

A string of Christmas lights valued at $10 were stolen outside a home in the 7400 block of Kedvale Avenue on Dec. 5.

Theft from auto

A GPS device, Furla wallet, headphones, sunglasses and cash were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 9500 block of Lockwood Avenue on Dec. 29.

Handgun found in microwave

Police were dispatched to Hampton Inn, 5201 Old Orchard Road, regarding a discovered deadly weapon on Jan. 1.

According to the report, a cleaning lady found a black .45 semiautomatic pistol inside a microwave in a hotel unit. Police would later arrest two individuals for investigation but not charges have been filed at this time.
