Police equipment stolen

A rooftop mounted light bar was removed from an Illinois State Police squad car parked at the Cook County Circuit Courthouse, 5600 Old Orchard Road, on June 15. According to the report, the item is worth $1,500 and no security cameras were positioned to capture the incident.

Shoplifters busted

Kimberly Michelle Mitchell and Kenya Elizabeth Roach, both 38 and of the 4800 block of Hull Avenue, were charged for allegedly shoplifting shampoo from Walgreens, 4850 Oakton St., on June 22. According to the report, police observed the two suspects on camera conceal $114 in bath and body products before they were stopped from leaving the store. Their court date is July 12.

Sem Adrien, 24, of the 1700 block of McDaniel Avenue in Evanston, was charged with misdemeanor retail theft on June 24. According to the report, Adrien allegedly tried to steal a $1.79 bottle of fruit punch from the Walgreens in the 9100 block of Skokie Boulevard.

Homes egged

A home in the 9200 block of Kildare Avenue was egged in the early hours of June 24. According to the report, this is the third time the home has been egged this month. The resident told police that she had no enemies and did not think of a motive.
