Tuesday Blotter: 2nd Purse Snatching Reported

The following arrest information was supplied by the Skokie Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction. At Skokie Patch, we update our blotter daily.

DUI

Munkhjargal Ulzibayar, 37, of Highland Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Aug. 12. Police found Ulzibayar vomiting outside his vehicle in the 8700 block of Lockwood Avenue, according to the report. When police asked him how much he had to drink, he replied, “two drinks.”

He allegedly had a blood alcohol content level of .150. His court date is Aug. 30.

Stolen wallet

A man reported losing his wallet missing after watching a movie at AMC Theatres in Old Orchard Mall on Aug. 11.

Stolen purse

A woman shopping at Old Orchard Mall reported her purse stolen on Aug. 9. According to the report, about $500 in cash was inside the purse.

Smoking pot at park

Police responded to a suspicious person complaint at Lawler Park on Aug. 8. When they arrived they found a 16-year-old smoking pot at the park. He was charged with possession and released to parents.

DUI

Chanelle Brooks, 28, of Evanston, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Aug. 8. Brooks was stopped near McCormick Boulevard and Church Street for a traffic violation. She allegedly had a blood alcohol content level of .131, the report said.

Another purse snatching

Police responded to a strong-armed robbery in the 9200 block of Lawler Avenue on July 25. According to the report, a 14-year-old ran up behind a woman and snagged her purse before fleeing in an unknown direction. A few days later,  

DUI

Khawa Warda, 46, of Niles, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Aug. 15. Warda was stopped near Oakton Street and Crawford Avenue for a traffic violation. She allegedly had a blood alcohol content level of .177, according to the report.
