Two Armed Robbers Get Away With Woman's Purse

An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.

As a woman was walking home from work in the 9000 block of Bronx Avenue Friday just after 10:45 p.m., two young women she did not known walked up from behind and struck her on the head with what the victim believed to be a gun, according to the Skokie Police Department.

The offender then hit the woman in the face with the weapon, and stole the victim's purse, according to police. Both the offenders are described as female, black and young, possibly high school age, wearing fitted dark t-shirts. Both were in the neighborhood of 5' to 5'5" tall. The offender with the gun had short fluffy black hair and a light-colored headband.
