Two Juveniles Enter, Hide In Woman's Garage As She Pulls Car In

Theft

• Theft at 9300 Weber Park Place, Weber Center, on December 23rd between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.  Reported:  12/24/2013. An unknown person(s) stole a wallet from a gym bag.

• Theft at 7601 Skokie Boulevard, between December 23rd at 10:30 p.m. and December 24th at 9:00 a.m.  Reported:  12/24/2013. An unknown person(s) stole 4 tires and the spare from two vehicles in the lot.

Theft of Lost Property

• Theft of Lost Property at 7000 Carpenter, AMC Theater, on December 20th between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.  Reported:  12/26/2013 The victim reported that an unknown person(s) by unknown means took his cell phone.

Criminal Damage to Property

• Criminal Damage to Property on the 7800 block of East Prairie Road, between December 21st at 4:00 p.m. and December 23rd at 9:30 p.m.  Reported:  12/24/2013. An unknown person(s) punctured the tire on a Nissan.

Deceptive Practices

• Deceptive Practices on the 4747 Dempster Street, Bank of America, between October 4th at 12:00 a.m. and December 24th at 10:39 a.m.  Reported:  12/24/2013. It was reported that a customer may have become a victim to a lottery scam.

Burglary from Motor Vehicle

• Burglary from Motor Vehicle on the 7508 St. Louis Avenue, A & I Bus Service, between December 25th at 6:30 p.m. and December 26th at 6:30 a.m.  Reported:  12/26/2013. An unknown person(s) broke into a bus.  A beer bottle and bits of tobacco were found left inside.

• Burglary from Motor Vehicle on the 7800 block of Kedvale Avenue, between December 24th at 10:00 a.m. and December 26th at 10:30 a.m.  Reported:  12/26/2013. An unknown person(s) stole swimming goggles and a bathing suit from the back seat of a vehicle.

Attempted Burglary

• Attempted Burglary on the 4600 block of Madison Street, between December 24th at 1:00 p.m. and December 25th at 1:10 a.m.  Reported:  12/25/2013. An unknown person(s) attempted to pry open a door to the residence but was not able to gain entry.

Arrests

• Juvenile, 16, Skokie, was arrested on charges of Burglary on the 4900 block of Oakton Street, on 12/24/2013. 
• Juvenile, 15, Skokie, was arrested on charges of Burglary on the 8200 block of Elmwood Street, on 12/24/2013.
  

• The above juvenile subjects unlawfully entered the victim’s garage as she opened the overhead door to pull in her vehicle.  The homeowner discovered the juveniles attempting to hide inside her garage and called the police.  Both juveniles fled the scene and were ultimately captured by police.

• Fagbemi, Carrie S., 40, 2000 block of Emerson Street, Evanston, was arrested for Retail Theft on the 3300 block of Golf Road, on 12/24/2013.

• Greenwood, Lee O., 40, 2200 block of E. Eldorado, Decatur, was arrested for a Warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance in Clinton, IL., on 12/24/2013.

• Cariaga, Ricky M., 27, 5100 block of Carol Street, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol on the 5200 block of Dempster on 12/25/2013.

• Maldonado, Humberto R., 50, 5000 block of Carol Street, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol on the 8800 block of Gross Point Road, on 12/25/2013.

• Gonzalez, Veronica, 41, 6300 block of Claremont, Chicago, was arrested for Driving with No Valid Driver’s License on the 3500 block of Howard on 12/26/2013.

• Galvez, Raul A., 21, 4900 block of Kirk Street, was arrested for Driving with a Suspended/Revoked Driver’s License on the 8000 block of Niles Avenue, on 12/26/2013.

• Oraha, Romeo D., 42, 6400 block of N. Sacramento Avenue, Chicago, was arrested on charges of Driving with a Suspended/Revoked Driver’s License on the 5400 block of Touhy on 12/26/2013.

• Barrios, Maria G., 28, 5400 block of W. Sunnyside, #Garden, Chicago, was arrested on charges of Driving with a Suspended/Revoked Driver’s License on the 5600 block of Oakton Street, on 12/26/2013.
