Vehicle Stolen; Phone Grabbed From Owner At Weber Center

An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.


The following police report information was taken from the Skokie Police Department and the village of Skokie.

Robbery 

Robbery at the Weber Center, 9300 Weber Park Place, on October 21st at 11:00 a.m. Reported 10/21/13 Several subjects entered the Weber Center and removed the victim’s white iPhone 5 while the victim was using the phone. The suspects were described as four male black offenders and one female black offender. One of the offenders was described as being 6’0”, 160 – 170 lbs., 16 – 17 years of age, short dreadlocks, wearing a gray jacket with a yellow Nike or Puma logo. 

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol 

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol on the 5000 block of Oakton Street, on October 18th at 1:50 a.m. Reported 10/21/13 During a traffic stop, officers arrested the offender for driving under the influence of alcohol. 

Theft /Pocket Picking 

Theft/Pocket Picking at the Jewel Food Store, 9449 Skokie Boulevard, on October 22nd at 7:25 a.m. Reported: 10/22/13 The victim reported that while she was shopping, she realized that her wallet was missing from her purse. The victim reported seeing a male Assyrian, 5’11”, 155 lbs., short black hair, and facial hair, following her around the store. 

Theft 

Theft on Williamsburg Road, between October 18th at 12:00 p.m. – October 20th at 8:30 p.m. Reported: 10/22/13 he victim reported that her nanny removed $120 from her daughter’s piggy bank and a $5,000 diamond ring. 

Motor Vehicle Theft
 
Motor Vehicle Theft at the Westfield Shopping Center, 4999 Old Orchard Center. Reported: 10/21/13 The unknown offender removed the black, 2003 Jeep Liberty vehicle, which was parked in the east side parking lot. It is unknown how the vehicle was entered. 

Criminal Damage To Property 

Criminal Damage To Property on the 3900 block of Lee Street, on October 21st at 3:00 p.m. Reported: 10/21/13 The victim observed several permanent markings on his garage door. The victim also observed a male black suspect in his back yard at the time of this incident.
