Wed. Blotter: Sticky Prank, $9K Ring Stolen

Cruel prank

Police responded to the 4800 block of Lee Street to assist a citizen on Sept. 6. According to the report, an unknown person used super glue over the keyholes of the resident’s home. The woman believes other residents in the building are responsible.

Bike, gear stolen

A $500 woman’s bicycle and a $500 rear trailing child carrier were reported stolen from the 4000 block of Dempster Street on Sept. 6.

Ring stolen

A ring valued at $9,000 was reported stolen from a truck parked in the 4900 block of Main Street on Sept. 6.  According to the report, the truck belonged to a nearby business.

Stolen purse

A woman reported her $300 purse stolen while working out at Life Time Fitness, 5330 Old Orchard Road, on Sept. 6.

Theft from auto

A cell phone valued at around $200 was reported stolen from a car parked in the 4800 block of Church Street on Sept. 4.

Plate sticker stolen

A license plate sticker was removed from a car parked in the 8500 block of Skokie Boulevard on Aug. 5.
