Criminal trespass
Michael James Burnett, 33, of the 700 block of Leyden Avenue in Wilmette, was charged with criminal trespassing after he was seen walking around at Old Orchard Mall on May 20 around 6 p.m. According to police, Burnett has been banned from the mall for one year for an unreported reason. When security spotted him, they called police and had Burnett arrested.

Police responded to a criminal damage compliant at Devonshire Park on May 21 around 8 a.m. According to the report, several garbage cans and picnic tables were overturned. Chairs were also found thrown in the swimming pool.
GPS device stolen

A car parked in the 9400 block of Skokie Boulevard was burglarized on May 21. According to the report, a GPS device was stolen after entry was supposedly gained through an open window.
Locker room theft
A laptop was stolen from an unlocked gym locker at Life Time Fitness, 5300 Old Orchard Rd., on May 21. According to the report, the owner forgot to close his lock completely.
Marked car
A car parked at Life Time Fitness, 5300 Old Orchard Rd., was scratched with a key on May 21 around 7 p.m. According to the report, the vehicle's owner said his “business competition is out to get him.” The damage is estimated at $500.
