Monday Blotter: Threat at the Courthouse

The following arrest information was supplied by the Skokie Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction. At Skokie Patch, we update our blotter daily.

Credit Record Tarnished
A resident reported that fraudulent bills were opened in his name for Nicor Gas, ComEd and Direct TV between July 2011 and Sept. 2011 on Dec. 12. An offender used the man's name and social security number along with an unknown Skokie address.

Phallic Graffiti
A resident in the 8000 block of Keating reported that a penis and an illegible word were drawn with red and black spray paint between June 2011 and Dec. 12 on two walls

That must be some GPS
An uknown suspect(s) smashed in the rear passenger window of a 2009 Jeep parked in Macy’s West parking garage between 1:15 p.m and 3:45 p.m. on Dec. 12. The offender(s) stole a GPS and radio unit valued at $1,100, according to the report.

Please, stop hanging your purse on the back of chairs
A patron at in went to get dessert after finishing lunch and realized her wallet was missing on Dec. 11. She believes the wallet was taken between 1:10 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. when her purse was hanging on the back of her chair covered with a jacket. The wallet was valued at $50 and contained $50 cash, debit cards, credit cards and health insurance cards.

Threatening Phone Call
A caseworker at the received a threatening phone call on Dec. 9 at 9:15 p.m. An unknown offender left a voicemail saying "Do you want someone to shoot you if you're alone."
