Wednesday Blotter: Cut-Up Sun Roof, Gunshots and More

DIY Sun Roof
An unknown person cut a hole into the roof of a convertible car parked in the 900 block of Knox Road on May 22 at 7:30 a.m. The suspect removed a large cardboard box and emptied its contents, animal litter, at the scene wihtouth taking anything.
Package Delivery Leads to Car Burglary
A resident delivering a package on May 21 at 3:30 p.m. in the 9100 block of Skokie Boulevard had his unlocked car broken into. An unknown suspect entered the blue 2001 Audi and removed a wallet, driver's license, state ID, Chase debit card, Discover card and $20 cash.
Car Scratched Length-wise
A 2009 white Ford Fusion was damaged on May 23 between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. when an unknown suspect made a scratch the entire length of the vehicle.

Deadly Weapons
Four to five gunshots were reported being heard in the 4900 block of Louise Street around 3:19 p.m. on May 23. A witness said they saw two Hispanic males running from a southern direction in the 7900 block of Lamon Avenue. Meanwhile two men driving a black Mitsubishi arrived to tell police they observed a man in the front passenger seat of a Nissan Sentra firing a handgun in the area.
