Clash after disrespectful remark

Berniqua N. Gee, 18, of the 1400 block of Emerson Avenue in Evanston, was charged with one count of misdemeanor battery on June 17 around 9:45 p.m. According to the report, Gee is accused of assaulting a person who “disrespected” her mom at the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant at 7020 Carpenter Rd. Her court date is July 19.

Vehicle vandalism

A car parked in the 8800 block of Knox Street had all of its windows smashed on June 18. According to the report, several small rocks were found near the vehicle.

Theft from motor vehicle

A GPS device valued at $150 was taken from a car parked in the 8500 block of Lawndale Avenue on June 18. According to the report, the owner left her doors unlocked.

Apple laptop stolen

A man reported having his new Apple MacBook stolen while he dined at Panera Bread in the 9600 block of Skokie Boulevard. According to the report, the man had just purchased the laptop from Old Orchard Mall and left it in the backseat of his vehicle, which had a rear window smashed in to remove the computer.
