Pub photo irks drunken woman

A 31-year-old woman was told not to come back to Village Inn in downtown Skokie after cursing at a variety of customers on Aug. 7. According to police reports, the woman was upset that a picture of her friend was hanging on the establishment’s wall.

Auto theft

A car parked in the 4800 block of Greenwood Avenue was reported stolen on Aug. 8. According to the report, the victim left his credit cards and wallet inside the vehicle. He discovered later in the day that his card was used at a Walgreens store in Schaumburg. Police are investigating.

Scary e-mail

A 25-year-old woman received an e-mail from a person who said he was going to “terminate her life” on Aug. 8. The alarming e-mail advised the recipient to take “necessary steps” given by the sender if she wanted to live.

Stolen package

A man reported one of his packages was stolen while he was at the UPS Store in the 4900 block of Oakton Street on Aug. 8. According to the report, he had placed two packages on the counter while he went to the bathroom. When he returned, only one was shipped.

Backpack stolen

A woman came into the Skokie police station to report that her backpack was stolen on Aug. 8. According to the report, the woman said she left the backpack unattended near the front desk while at the Holiday Inn, 5300 Touhy Ave. More than $2,000 of electronic items were inside the bag. Police are investigating.
