Garage burglary

Three speaker sets were removed from a garage in the 7900 block of Kostner Avenue on Sept. 30.

Police responded to a criminal damage complaint at Laramie Park on Sept. 4. According to the report, a park bench was damaged. A park monitor told police he believes skateboarders damaged the bench while performing tricks, the report stated. No arrests were made.

Laptop stolen in car burglary

A laptop valued at about $1,000 was reported stolen from a car parked in the 4800 block of Church Street on Oct. 4.

DUI leads to accident

Markus Altherr, 25, of Chicago, was charged with possession of marijuana and driving under the influence of alcohol after causing an accident in the 8900 block of Bronx Avenue on Sept. 30 around 6 a.m., police said.

He had a blood alcohol content level of .250, the report stated. Police also found about less than a gram of marijuana in his vehicle. It is unclear if there were any injuries at this time.

Oklahoma isn’t OK

A set of Oklahoma license plates were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 8300 block of Acadia Avenue on Oct. 9.
