Wednesday Blotter: Lamborghini Diablo Stolen

Lamborghini Diablo stolen

A man reported that someone stole his 1994 Lamborghini Diablo from his former residence in Skokie on March 8. The exotic vehicle did not have an engine or tires, but the body was still worth around $8,000, the report said.

Theft from auto

About $15 in loose change was stolen from a car parked in the 9000 block of Pottawatomi Drive on March 13.

A car parked in the 8900 block of Gross Point Road was reported burglarized on March 14. A $200 GPS device was reported stolen, according to the report.

A car in the 8900 block of Gross Point Road was reported burglarized on March 12. A $300 GPS device was reported missing, the report said.

Vehicle vandalism

A Skokie man reported that he saw a person throw a large yellow brick at a car parked in the 9200 block of Gross Point Road on March 19.

Retail theft at Macy’s

Shannon C. Clifford, 42, of the 6700 block of Northwest Highway in Chicago, was charged with retail theft on March 19. Clifford allegedly selected $382 of athletic wear from Macy’s in Old Orchard and attempted to leave the store without paying. She would later confess to police that she attempted to take the items, the report said. Her court date is set for March 28.
