Wednesday Blotter: Pill Bust

Pill bust

Patrick Matthew Cybulko, 25, of Schiller Park, was charged with possession of a controlled substance on Dec. 10. According to the report, Cybulko was stopped in the 7500 block of Skokie Boulevard for a traffic violation. When officer approached the vehicle, they detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle, the report said.

Police would later uncover 49 Xanax pills from the car, but no marijuana was found.

Stolen FedEx Package

A man reported his FedEx package stolen from his front porch in the 5200 block of Greenwood Avenue on Dec. 10. Inside the package were collectible trading cards valued at around $178, the report said.

Vehicle vandalism

A woman reported that an unknown person shattered her driver’s side window near the intersection of Knox and Dobson avenues on Dec. 8.

Keyed car

A car pared in the 10000 block of Frontage Road was scratched with a sharp object on Dec. 10.

Macy’s theft

Mihaela Nmi Nistor, 38, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft on Jan. 10. Nistor took about $420 worth of clothing from Macy’s in Old Orchard Mall and attempted to leave without paying, the report said. Nistor received felony charges for retail theft by the stat’s attorney, police said.
