Wednesday Blotter: 'Sexual Favors' at Comfort Inn

Theft from auto

A car parked at AMC Showplace in Village Crossing was reported burglarized on Aug. 6. According to the report, a Playstation Portable, several video games, a stereo and an iPod were reported missing.

Bilked cabbie

A cab driver told police that his customer ditched his $16 fare after dropping him off at the intersection of Gross Point Road and Lee Street on Aug. 5.

Man allegedly robbed at hotel

A man told police that he was robbed after meeting a woman to receive “sexual favors” at the Comfort Inn, 9333 Skokie Blvd., on Aug. 5. According to the report, the man entered the room and was allegedly attacked by a second, unknown man.

When officers arrived, they ultimately located more than 7 grams of marijuana in the alleged suspect’s room, the report stated. Police charged Amanda Britney Mock, 20, of Elgin, with possession of cannabis.

The alleged victim told police he did not want to pursue charges for the robbery.

Stolen purse

A woman dinning at Chipotle, 5373 Touhy Ave., reported her wallet missing on Aug. 5. According to the report, there were several credit cards and $75 in cash inside the wallet.

Residential burglary

Police responded to a home burglary in the 8400 block of Kedvale Avenue on Aug. 3. According to the report, an XBOX 360, several games and controllers were reported missing. No other items were taken, the report said.

Man catches burglar in window

Police responded to a burglary in the 8500 block of Avers Avenue on Aug. 4. According to the report, the homeowner heard a loud bang noise from the back of his home and went to investigate. When he arrived he saw a black teen, about 20 years of age with “a sharp nose” sticking out of his window. The alleged suspect would then retreat, the report said. No arrests were made.

Grab and go at Ulta

A man allegedly selected a $60 bottle of cologne from Ulta, 5481 Touhy Ave., and fled the store without paying on Aug. 4.
