Shattered glass
A business owner in the 8100 block of Monticello Avenue reported that someone shattered an outside window at his business on April 11 around 9 a.m. The victim added that he had no surveillance cameras or clues about a suspect.
Theft from motor vehicle

A car parked in the 4700 block of Golf Road was burglarized on April 10. According to the report, several tennis rackets and headphones were taken from a vehicle. The property manager noted that at least half a dozen car burglaries had occurred on the property this month. Police are investigating the case.
Rusty mailbox stolen

A business owner in the 4900 block of Oakton Street had his mailbox stolen on April 11. According to the report, the business owner doesn’t know why anyone would take it.
DUI arrest
Sergio Meda, 35, of the 2900 block of Francisco Avenue in Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence, driving without a valid license or insurance and disobeying traffic signs on April 11 around 7 p.m. Police stopped Meda's vehicle near the 7300 block of Niles Center Road for a traffic violation.
While Meda refused to provide a breath sample, police reported that he failed the field sobriety test. Meda was transported to Skokie Hospital to provide a blood and urine sample. While there, both police and nurse staff noticed a white powdery substance on Meda's left nostril that the suspect was a drug. His court date is April 21.
