Manager Claims Man Lived in Public Storage Unit
Police responded to a criminal trespass complaint at Public Storage, 8220 Skokie Blvd., on Jan. 15 around 5:30 p.m. According to the report, the manager informed police that a customer was sleeping in the elevator maintenance room.
Police would later find a 41-year-old Evanston man with pillows and blankets sleeping in the sump pump room.

According to report, the manager has warned the suspect several times about sleeping on the premise, but the alleged offender ignored his pleas. He was charged with one count of criminal trespass.

A woman came into the Skokie police station regarding harassing phone calls she’s been receiving from her mother. According to the report, the mother is allegedly trying to get money she gave her for college tuition back. No charges were filed.
Missing wallet
A man came to the Skokie police station to report his missing wallet on Jan. 12. According to the report, the man believes he lost his wallet at the Skokie Swift parking lot. He would later discover several fraudulent charges on his card, including one at a gas station.
