Slashed tires

A car parked at the Holiday Inn in the 5300 block of Touhy Avenue was vandalized on Sept. 14. According to the report, all four tires on the vehicle were slashed. It was the only one that had been vandalized.

Classic Mustang Stolen

A 1970 Mustang convertible parked in the 9900 block of Lawler Avenue was reported stolen on Sept. 14. According to the report, police found glass fragments near the scene of the crime.

Louis Vuitton purse

A Louis Vuitton purse valued at $1,000 was stolen while the owner shopped at Dart Cleaners in the 4900 block of Oakton Street on Sept. 13. According to the report, the purse was left behind the front counter.

Busted tired

A man reported that one of his car tires was deliberately punctured while it was parked in the 8200 block of Keating Avenue. The estimated cost of the damage is $100, according to the report.

Nordstrom shoplifter busted

Jorie L. Kotowsky, 26, of the 600 block of Dauphine Avenue in Northbrook, was charged with retail theft on Sept. 13. According to the report, Kotowsky allegedly attempted to steal more than $700 of merchandise from the Nordstrom store in Her court date is Oct. 3.
