Wednesday Blotter: Woman Mugged Outside OCC

Woman mugged

A 23-year-old woman leaving class from Oakton Community College was mugged outside the school on Lincoln Avenue on Jan. 27. According to the report, two men pushed her from behind and demanded her wallet. The victim complied and told police about $250 was stolen.

The culprits were described as two black males between the ages of 16 and 18 with an average build.

Mugging

A man robbed a 17-year-old teen of his Smartphone in the 9000 block of Lamon Avenue on Jan. 28. According to the report, the subject took the victim’s phone and threatened to harm him if he attempted to take it back.

Theft from motor vehicle

A car parked in the 7500 block of Kenton Street was burglarized on Jan. 28. According to the report, a brick was used to smash out the passenger side window. Once inside, the suspect took a yellow blanket valued at $20, the report said.

A car parked in the 9400 block of Karlov Avenue was reported burglarized on Jan. 27. According to the report, a black iPod Nano was stolen from the vehicle.
