Woman Alleges Skokie Police Used Excessive Force, Broke Her Bones

A Chicago woman has brought a lawsuit against the Skokie Police Department, saying she needed surgery for broken bone in her face after an officer slammed her into a concrete bench.


Through her attorney, a Chicago woman named Cassandra Feuerstein has brought a lawsuit saying that, after she was arrested for DUI, a Skokie police officer used excessive force that broke her facial bones and required her to have surgery, chicago.cbslocal.com reported. 

She suing the Village of Skokie and Officer Michael Hart, according to dockets.justia.com. 

Skokie Police Chief Anthony Scarpelli referred questions to Ann Tennes, a spokeswoman for the village. Tennes said the village has not yet been served with any documents on the matter, and corporation counsel (the village attorney) will review them when they are received.
